DIY make-up remover for oily skin
DIY makeup remover: One of the fundamental parts of our skincare is makeup removal. Although not everyone usually removes make-up at the end of the day, you should know that it is a very important step.
Cleansing our skin and "cleaning" it after a long day guarantees always perfect skin, hydrated and purified from all those external agents (not just make-up!) that affect our skin during the day, such as smoke, smog, pollution and micro dust present in the air. Skipping this step in the long run can lead to blemishes such as pimples, dry, dull and toneless skin. There are many types of make-up removers on the market, for every need and for every skin type, but if you like "do it yourself" there are many natural and cheaper alternatives! But how does it work for different skin types? It is clear that we need to pay attention to the products we use, a woman who suffers from dry skin will not be able to use the same products that a woman with oily skin would use, to have optimal results and avoid unpleasant surprises it is always better to have some small precautions! Today I will talk about how to remove make-up from oily skin naturally. Oily skin has excessive sebum production. The part of the face that is most affected by this problem is the T zone: nose, forehead and chin. Because it is precisely in the T zone that sebum concentrates and closes all the pores, thus causing pimples and blackheads. Usually make-up removers are almost all "oil-based", which is not at all suitable for those who have "shiny" skin.
Facial cleansers: Removing make-up from the face and eyes is one of the daily skin care steps for every woman. It is very important to remove make-up to eliminate make-up residues, bacteria and prevent the appearance of pimples, blackheads and wrinkles. It must be done both in the morning and in the evening, not only to remove make-up but also to remove the sweat that accumulates on the face during the night. It is also possible to use natural ingredients which are sometimes very simple to find. They also cost little and we are sure that they do not irritate our skin. We suggest some of them.
Coconut oil is very suitable, to be used on moistened face and eyelashes and then massaged with a cotton pad, avoiding direct contact with the eyes. Almond oil or jojoba oil (particularly suitable for dry skin) are other excellent natural make-up removers, mixed with rose water or chamomile infusion and left to cool. After cleansing the face with one of these ingredients, we use tonic by massaging it with a cotton ball. We then apply the moisturizing cream day and night.
Below are some products on the market that contain natural ingredients
Garnier cornflower biphasic micellar water. It contains an oil that hydrates the skin and is particularly suitable for sensitive skin that is easily irritated. Delicate organic micellar water from Provence, without parabens, silicones and dyes. Micellar water from Acqua alle Rose, without parabens and soaps, refreshing and delicate.
Alternatively, micellar water can also be made alone by mixing 100 ml of rose or chamomile water, two teaspoons of aloe vera gel and 2 teaspoons of delicate eco-friendly detergent. The result will be excellent.
Aloe vera
A valid alternative is to use aloe vera. Aloe vera is an excellent natural remedy against the formation and production of sebum, it acts on oily skin, particularly in its gel form. Aloe gel can be purchased ready-made in a pharmacy or herbalist's shop or it can be extracted directly from the leaves of the plant. This gel is super natural and has all the characteristics and properties useful for deeply hydrating the skin and, thanks to its lightness and freshness, it does not tend to be greasy and leaves a mattifying effect that lasts for a long time! You can prepare a fantastic aloe vera-based micellar water at home! Just get an empty bottle that you no longer use, some chamomile infusion, about 100ml or rose water, also useful for oily skin, 2 small teaspoons of preferably organic or not particularly aggressive shampoo and a teaspoon of gel aloe vera. The union of these three ingredients will create a natural 100% micellar water, very useful for removing make-up. You can apply it on a cotton pad and rub gently on the affected area, such as the eyes, eye contour and face (don't forget to clean the T-zone well!) Once you have removed your make-up, rinse your entire face and possibly continue with your usual skin care!
Sea salt and lemon
Another solution for removing make-up from oily skin is one based on sea salt and lemon. They are two natural ingredients that help eliminate the problem of excess sebum in those with oily skin, because they both have so-called "astringent" properties. You will therefore need a container where you will pour approximately 100 ml of warm water, adding the juice of a lemon and a spoonful of coarse sea salt a little at a time. You will then need to mix everything well and let it rest until the salt has dissolved. Once you have obtained this solution, you can proceed in two different ways: Wet cotton wool or the appropriate make-up pad in the mixture and pass it over your face in the morning or evening, depending on when you cleanse. Or simply pour the solution into a spray bottle to use whenever you need it!
