How to: Smokey eyes
Whenever we think of an important make-up, for "celebs" so to speak, we most often refer to smokey eyes. Here's how to do it best.
Smokey eyes are that makeup that is capable of giving great prominence to the eyes, enveloping them in an aura of mystery and magnetism. Already in the 1920s women began to recreate make-up that gave great drama and effect to the eyes. Smokey eyes are nothing other than its evolution: it is a technique that however requires strict rules, even if there are countless variations.
From the word smokey we already understand that the main technique is to blend. But let's see, step by step, how to create smokey eyes RED CARPET for your eye makeup.
The first thing to do is choose the shades of our smokey eyes. Whether the dominant color is black, brown or burgundy, we must always choose eyeshadow shades that match well and that can be blended together to give a gradient effect to have a "three-dimensional" look. Once I've chosen the color, I'm going to apply it. I can proceed both with fats, therefore using pencils, and with powder eyeshadows. If I use the latter, I have to take into account that if I make a mistake in applying the product, the correction will be much more difficult.
Starting from the edge of the eyelashes, I trace my thickness along the entire rim until I reach the hollow of the upper eyelid: don't worry if you are not precise, it will then be blended! To do this, equip yourself with a soft bristle brush and with light pressure blend the line you have created.
Once you have created the shade (which must be clearly visible, so don't be afraid to use too much!) you can apply the eyeshadow: choose several shades, the brightest one will go to the center of the mobile eyelid while a lighter one in the hollow of the nearby eye to the nose.
This will give the eye greater three-dimensionality. The application of these two colors from the center of the eyelid, sloping outwards, will make the make-up appear very intense at the lash line and towards the outside, while it will make it lighter in the upper part of the eyelid, as you get closer. at the socket of the eye.
The upper part, the one under the eyebrow, should be left neutral, at most illuminated with an illuminating powder.
With the same pencil used to create the shade, let's go over the lower lash line of the eye and finally let's not forget to apply plenty of mascara.
Et voilà, les joeux sont fait!
