Pitti Fragranze and artistic perfumery
A few months ago, between 17 and 19 September 2021, the Pitti Fragranze took place at Stazione Leopolda in Florence - now used as a conference hall - the annual event featuring the latest products from high-end perfumery.
In this nineteenth edition we had the pleasure of "smelling" a selection of around 140 elegant perfumery brands from all over the world, in which the most well-known and coveted names join the fresher and younger ones from the special Spring section.
Even with my nose covered by the mask, it was inevitable to smell the refined aromas that dominated the Leopolda.
This time, in addition to the brands, the visitors were also international, thanks to the online and offline duality of the event thanks to the Connect digital platform, which tried to combat the travel limits dictated by the pandemic.
There were many projects presented during this edition of Pitti Fragranze, such as the praise to Ralf Schweiger, special guest of this edition and undisputed nose and talent of refined perfumery, curated by the artistic director of the salon Chandler Burr.
Another important event was the one concerning the in-depth analysis of the rebirth of Enflourage, an ancient technique for extracting natural elements, protagonists of this edition of RAW, the Pitti Fragranze space dedicated to the most important perfume raw materials.
There is also “The GurīnTalk” among the meetings that won over the public. It is a conversation to discover the freedom of making mistakes and the infinite possibilities that arise from a creative stumble.
The undisputed protagonist of the event was Laura Bosetti Tonatto, with the presentation of her line of fragrances dedicated to “Swan Lake” by Les Ètoiles.
