Make Up & Work Out. Makeup for sports
In this post we will discuss a somewhat thorny topic: makeup in the gym!
Can you train wearing makeup? Or is it better to avoid? Let's explore this topic together! Make up is an important element of the care we dedicate to ourselves and physical activity is no different!
Integrating sport into your routine is a panacea for the mind and body and practicing it daily - or at least several times weekly - can give us great and satisfying results with a little time and a lot of effort. But physical activity involves sweating, which is great for our skin but definitely doesn't go well with makeup! But for those who want a well-groomed appearance even in the gym, here are some practical tips. So here is the first piece of advice: absolutely avoid elaborate bases and foundations! The skin needs to breathe, especially when sweating, so it is important to remove make-up and cleanse your face before each workout. Pores clogged by makeup and sweat are a dangerous combo that can lead to blemishes such as pimples or blackheads. If we really need to cover dark circles or blemishes, it is better to apply a little concealer only on the area but remember that it could melt and run away during the workout. The second tip is dedicated to those who really can't do without a touch of makeup to feel tidy, so it's better to use waterproof products. For sports make-up, obviously there is no need to wear make-up all over your face - also because even the most beautiful eye make-up, if runny and ruined, can be very counterproductive! – but a little will suffice mascara on the eyelashes and possibly touch up the eyebrows a little with a water-resistant product to have a natural but well-groomed effect.
Sports makeup: Remember, however, not to rub your eyes between one series of squats and the next!
Third and final advice is to wash your face and hydrate your skin after every workout. Sweat and bacteria accumulated on the skin - inevitable in environments where we come into contact with objects such as tools and mats used by multiple people - must absolutely be removed with thorough cleansing. Finally, let's not forget the hydration of the skin, which having sweated can find itself drier after washing and therefore in addition to our daily cream it is also important to replenish the lost liquids by drinking lots of water. Good workout!
