DIY body scrub

The body scrub is a very important beauty treatment for our daily skin care, in fact it helps to remove the most superficial layer of the skin, usually made up of dead cells and impurities, consequently restoring elasticity and freshness to the skin.

As I anticipated, the application of the body scrub is a fundamental treatment for the care of one's skin, both of the face and the body: this treatment counteracts the natural aging process, because it favors the elimination of old cells and the formation of young and healthy cells, which form the surface layer of our skin. The body scrub, in addition to removing the dead cells that accumulate on the surface of the skin, helps to eliminate all the different impurities, such as dust and sebum that accumulate in the pores. This exfoliation treatment that we obtain through the use of scrubs is extremely useful for restoring a clean, toned and young appearance to the skin.

It is preferable to apply the body scrub to already damp skin, massaging with small circular movements, then rinsing it off. It is advisable that this exfoliation treatment is then followed by the application of a moisturizing cream, as it can make the skin excessively dry, therefore it is better to restore the right hydration to the skin, through the application of a cream, and not only , the application of the scrub and the subsequent elimination of dead cells promotes the absorption of all the nutrients in the cream! There are many types of scrubs available on the market, but you can still prepare them at home, using natural and easily available products!

COARSE SALT SCRUB

This DIY scrub is very useful for reactivating and improving circulation, and should be massaged all over the most "critical" areas, also perfect for the parts of the body that are most difficult to exfoliate. Simply mix 5/6 tablespoons of coarse salt with olive oil or almond oil and massage gently, always using circular movements to stimulate the lymphatic system and microcirculation.

COFFEE SCRUB

This scrub is an excellent anti-cellulite, coffee is useful for combating fat deposits, thanks to its lipolysis properties, that is, it helps to dissolve them!. You will only need to re-use the coffee grounds for this DIY scrub. For the preparation you need a cup of coffee grounds, half a cup of fresh yogurt for the "creamy" part. Fill half a cup with coffee powder, then add half a cup of fresh yogurt. The coffee body scrub should be applied to the skin and always massaged in circular motions. Afterwards you need to rinse with warm water.
This scrub also has hydrating properties, thanks to the fresh yogurt that leaves the skin soft.

HONEY SCRUB

It is recommended for drier skin that needs more hydration and to deeply nourish the skin in a gentle way!

Simply mix 5 tablespoons of sugar with 2 tablespoons of honey. For an extra touch of sweetness, you can also add cocoa powder to these ingredients, or flavor with cinnamon essential oil.

LAVENDER SCRUB

This exfoliating treatment has a relaxing and anti-stress effect thanks to the calming and soothing properties of lavender. It is the ideal DIY scrub to do in the evening in total relaxation, after a very busy and tiring day or simply when we feel stressed. It's very simple, like all scrubs, mix 5 tablespoons of brown sugar, or, alternatively, white sugar with a few drops of lavender essential oil, always massaging gently!

CITRUS SCRUB

Very useful invigorating scrub to restore energy thanks to citrus fruits and their revitalizing and energizing power. To give us the right energy in the morning or to regain energy after a tiring day, this scrub is for you! Simply combine 2 tablespoons of orange juice, 2 of lemon, 1 of cinnamon, coarse salt and olive oil: then apply the mixture all over the body, massaging delicately and leave to act for up to ten minutes. Rinse everything off with warm water! You can also add grapefruit essential oils to the mixture.
