The term contouring, also called sculpting or shading, indicates a make-up technique that plays with light and dark to give three-dimensionality to the face.

The technique is famous for harmonizing, smoothing and correcting the best areas and features of the face.

As in any self-respecting palette, you must always keep in mind that light colors are suitable for illuminating and therefore enlarging the affected areas, while dark ones are suitable for shading and minimizing the parts, therefore proceed with a natural face base with a foundation or one BB creams as close as possible to our skin tone.
Once the base has been applied, you can start applying the powder to mattify the complexion and make it homogeneous.
Let's now move on to the actual contouring technique. To highlight, it is more appropriate to proceed with creamy textures that are easier to apply, while to create shadow areas it is necessary to choose matte powder textures to create the most nuanced effect possible. Be careful not to create too much of a mask effect with orange tones, which would contribute to giving the face an unnatural color.
In the case of an oval face, it is necessary to proceed with touches that aim to shorten the long face, the cheekbones are darkened with a dark bronzer, to illuminate the forehead, the cheeks and the center of the chin opt for a highlighter without a pearly effect and more natural possible. Finally, apply the blush with horizontal movements starting from the center outwards.
If you have a rectangular face, it is best to darken the upper part of the forehead, under the cheekbones and on the jaws and then highlight the center of the chin and the cheeks.
The round face, on the other hand, requires make-up capable of darkening the temples, the final part of the jaw, the chin attachment and the contours of the oval and then moving on to illuminate the contours of the chin and the part under the eyes.
