False Eyelashes: Application and advice
To make your eyes stand out, to give an extra touch to an important make-up or simply for a more glam effect to our look: you need false eyelashes! Let's find out together how to use them correctly.
We need 3 things: suitable glue, tweezers and of course our favorite false eyelashes! If you don't have any regular ones, there are various kinds on the market and the choice is vast. They are mainly divided into 2 types: tufted and ribbon. Those with tufts lend themselves to various needs, they can be applied only at the end of the eye to lengthen its shape, only in certain points to thicken the natural eyelashes or simply as desired to create particular looks.
How to apply false eyelashes:
The ribbon ones, on the other hand, are pre-formed (if they are too long for our eye, just cut one end) and can be natural or very long and thick or even decorated or colourful... for all tastes and styles!
Once we have chosen the lashes that are right for us, the choice of glue is important, in fact a good glue will guarantee an easy and long-lasting application. All eyelash glues are vinyl and tend to dry quite quickly; they are generally white in color which becomes invisible after drying but it is also possible to find black glues, which are ideal in case of strong and dark make-up to avoid the risk of some excess glue being noticed. Since vinyl glues are quite resinous, they do not need to be applied in large quantities to work, a thin layer is enough and by doing so you will avoid getting your makeup dirty and removal will be more convenient.
The tweezers are used to remove the lashes from the package and apply them to the eye and help to apply light pressure during drying which guarantees their adherence to our natural lashes. In fact, false eyelashes should be applied, once the make-up is completed, not on the skin of the eyelid but to the attachment of our eyelashes to it: only in this way will they adhere well and the effect will be natural and the duration safer!
Finally, when it's time to remove your makeup with your detergents face, gently pull one end in the opposite direction - being careful not to also pull your natural eyelashes - and clean the false eyelashes from glue and make-up residues with make-up remover pads soaked in micellar water. If you remove make-up and store it carefully, it will last for several applications. Happy makeup everyone!
