Baniyas (Widian, 2022) is a modern fougère/amber-woody extrait that opens with a bright citrus-herbal top featuring bergamot, artemisia (wormwood), and aromatic lavender. The heart centers on a jammy, rosier floral note from geranium, complemented by lavender's aromatic contour, over cedar and a soft oud. The base is warm, creamy, and woody, composed of Evernyl (a synthetic oakmoss-like material), patchouli, sandalwood, and vetiver, which together create a smooth, slightly sweet, velvety drydown with an amber-gourmand warmth. It presents as polished and luxurious, balancing floral and sweet elements with a deep woody/oud foundation, making it an elegant, contemporary, and versatile fragrance.
